NYSCA’s Arts Education Program cultivates the creativity of all New Yorkers, from preschoolers to seniors, in both school and community settings. For example, college students on the associated (Drama in Training) and Ed. programmes, and doctoral college students have engaged in collaborative observe and analysis with the National Gallery of Ireland, the Abbey Theatre, the Nationwide Affiliation of Youth Drama, CREATE (the national authorities agency for neighborhood arts), Aspire (Asperger Syndrome Affiliation of Ireland), the Arts Council, Training Centres, Fingal County Council’s early childhood and arts workplaces, a regional Travellers’ Affiliation, and over 30 kindergarten, main and secondary schools so far.

Dana Frantz Bentley, Ed.M.’05, a preschool teacher at Buckingham Browne and Nichols College in Cambridge, is the author of Everyday Artists: Inquiry and Creativity in the Early Childhood Classroom (New York: Lecturers School Press, 2013) and of a variety of articles on the arts, pedagogy, and instructor research in the early childhood classroom.
