Philadelphia Arts In Education Partnership
The School of Arts and Training is home to 3 of Deakin’s largest and most respected faculties – Training, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Communication and Creative Arts – in addition to the Institute of Koorie Education. Consisting of a number of new faces as well as loyal supporters from the unique founding of the program within the Nineteen Nineties, this Council counts amongst its members active artists, cultural philanthropists, and humanities educators who put civic engagement and arts education advocacy amongst their highest priorities.
Individualized curriculum – AIE students are given nice freedom to decide on their own tutorial pathway, studying subjects as varied as common design and know-how, studying in museums, management in social-change organizations, gender and sexuality in colleges, politics and academic policy, adolescent improvement, neuroscience, and more.
In the AIE Program, you’ll be part of a various cohort of visible artists, musicians, museum educators, nonprofit arts advocates, actors, teachers, and writers who believe that the humanities not only have intrinsic societal worth, but also multiple roles in youth schooling and wholesome growth.
