Music has been evolving since its creation. In the third yr of the programme, all college students go on placement, either travelling to a global university (some scholarships are available) or taking a placement with an Irish arts organisation. College students can mix the study of music with topics equivalent to Psychology, Legal Studies, Info Know-how or Languages, all of which open up career alternatives in these areas.

The B.A. in Music is designed for college kids who wish to major in music whereas receiving a broad, liberal arts training. B.A. students will choose a cognate (12 credit) or minor area (18 credits) outside the Faculty of Music to prepare for a variety of careers which may be interdisciplinary in nature.
