Because the starting of time, music has been used as an expression of cultural identity. This program funds a variety of actions that deliver advantages to the arts sector and wider public, including national and international audiences. Our Music students have the choice to enrol in an elective internship by the Arts & Social Sciences Vocational Placement (Internship) course.

With a novel environment that encourages danger-taking and exploration, visible artists, dancers, designers, actors, writers, filmmakers and musicians collaborate and find their inventive paths in their desired areas of study. Employers recognise Music degrees as being notably rich in transferable abilities, and varied in breadth of learning, a facet strengthened by inclusion of a second topic area taken to graduate stage.

The Ontario Arts Council supports artists and organizations working in quite a lot of kinds and genres of music. No matter which pathway you wish to pursue, in First 12 months you will take courses offering key foundational abilities in Music and two additional Arts subjects provided through the Faculty of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences.
