Outside Schooling Facilities are created to offer arts and recreation applications for students. In 2014, Courtney Weida, Ed.M.’04, an affiliate professor of art education and the director of graduate artwork education at Adelphi University, co-authored The South Station Hoard: Imagining, Creating and Empowering Violent Stays and edited Crafting Creativity and Creating Craft: Craftivism, Artwork Education, and Contemporary Craft Tradition She has contributed articles on a wide range of artwork-education subjects to the Journal of Cultural Research in Artwork Schooling, the Journal of Social Theory in Artwork Education, the Journal of Visible Culture and Gender, and different publications.
Consisting of a number of new faces in addition to loyal supporters from the original founding of this system within the 1990s, this Council counts among its members lively artists, cultural philanthropists, and humanities educators who put civic engagement and humanities education advocacy amongst their highest priorities.
The mission of Continuing the Conversation is to promote and advance dialogue with a purpose to determine and work on pressing points within the Arts in Schooling sector and to inspire those involved to lead and create change in this sector and beyond by expanding the place of the humanities in education and in society.
